Just read the transcript and loved it. I can totally relate to both Nadine’s and Robb’s stories. I never had the crazy severe symptoms that either of them had, but for most of my life (age 12 to mid 40’s) suffered from severe cystic acne. I also had digestive issues and anxiety, but thought they were just part of life. Like Robb, many of my symptoms worsened when I transitioned from vegetarian to vegan. And like Nadine, I was told by a doctor that based on my test results I could eat whatever I liked. But at that point I was feeling so much better without grains. But no grains and no dairy for a vegetarian leaves very little to eat, So I gradually started adding some pastured meat and eating eggs again. I’ve been primal/paleo for about 5 years and have never felt better. The acne? Gone. Digestive issues and anxiety? Gone. Like Robb, every now and then I’ll react to a restaurant meal. For me it’s usually stomach upset and puffy eyes. Not the end of the world. But it’s so important to listen to your body and question doctors. I finally found an integrative doctor who told me that I had a non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Which pretty much explained what I had already figured out 🙂

How does Grzeskowiak explain that Alessio Fassano, a premier gluten researcher, has just published, “Gluten Freedom: The Nation’s Leading Expert Offers the Essential Guide to a Healthy, Gluten-Free Lifestyle,” has said that most people can tolerate gluten?
