OKAEY!!
This was a fun and delicious meal I put together after stomped the streets of Florence, Italy for a day. The soup was grass fed ground beef browned with carrots and onions. I then added the tomato sauce (pomodoro), an the rest of my veggies. The pork ribs started of in a pan on high heat to get a little browning and liberae soem of the pork fat. I then added carrots and onions to that pan and cooked it alternating between high and low. While on high I added about 1/4 cup (60ml) of water to steam the ribs, then I cooked them on low to re-establish the browning. The carrots and onions were caramelized and the whole meal was amazing, if for no other reason than the ingredients were fresh and top notch. This was a longer meal to cook, about an hour but we had a huge bottle of Lambrusco to work our way through so no hurries on this one!
You can make amazing, gluten free, paleo friendly meals anywhere, anytime. You simply need to prioritize it and start enjoying the process.

Yummm, looks like a great meal! We found it very easy to eat healthy in Italy (we biked through Tuscany a couple of years ago). Lots of fresh produce and local meats.

Looks awesome. I’ve never been to Italy but had wondered how hard it would be to do the paleo thing there, doesn’t look like its a problem at all. Hopefully I’ll be able to go there and test it out myself in the not too distant future 🙂
I might have to try cooking ribs that way, looks delicious.

Hi Robb!
I’m loving your international culinary flights of fancy. When you’re back home and ready to saddle up, check out the “Heart Attack Grill”, where they still make burgers and fries with Lard!

My dream life would be living a mile from a market like the one at the beginning of the video so that I could walk to it everyday and buy the ingredients need for the day’s meal. What beautiful food!

Robb- Great meal. But Lambrusco in Tuscany?
Robb Wolf says
Florence, yep.
