2013 Ancestral Health Symposium (AHS13) Fact Sheet

The Ancestral Health Symposium is an event that fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and discussion between scientists, researchers, academics, healthcare professionals,  clinicians, and laypersons that study and communicate about modern health from an evolutionary perspective to develop solutions to our current health challenges.

When: August 15-17, 2013

Who: The Ancestral Health Society

What to Expect: Three jam-packed days of presentations, networking, and social events centered around the study, discussion, and celebration of ancestral health. Aside from presentations, there will be movement sessions, catered lunches, a welcome reception on Thursday night, and a banquet dinner on Saturday night.

New This Year: More talks! Our program schedule is bursting at the seams. There will be three full days of ancestral health knowledge being shared. We’re incorporating workshops into the schedule to provide targeted information in a more intimate and interactive setting. To provide some relief from the sitting and thinking, we’re providing time and space for breathing, meditation, and stretching exercises. We’re more committed than ever to giving people tools to take home with them, whether it’s clinical pearls for health practitioners or tips for athletes.

Because we’re starting early on Thursday August 15, we’re encouraging everyone to arrive on Wednesday August 14 so they don’t miss out on anything. Reserve your hotel room ASAP to ensure you’re at the epicenter of it all.

For those interested in official AHS13 t-shirts, advance sales will take place between May 1 and July 8. There will only be a handful at the event itself and we can’t guarantee we’ll have your size, so order early!
