Wonderful episode on a difficult and important topic. It’s so important to be cognizant of the implicit messages we give children about self worth. There’s no one cause, but I suspect the media is a major culprit for emphasizing this external focus of self worth. There is a lot of money spent trying to convince women they’re not good enough so that they’ll invest in products to compensate.
