Jesse discussed two of his personal favorite nootropics: aniracetam and sulbutiamine. These two feature prominently in the smart drug stacks we sell — Nexus and Mitogen — which are each geeked out on at length (along with all the other ingredients) in these two episodes…

Matt says
Any thoughts on transcranial direct current stimulation? I’ve got a brain zapper, but I have yet to crack the nut on how to best use it.
Alex McMahon says
Awesome episode Robb! the topics of discussion were varied and liked hearing about noots other people are using. Plus the Jesse is from Oregon!

Great Episode. I’ve taken GABA before, but it causes me to stay awake all night. I’ve written it off as being a “reverse responder”…What other conclusions/ next steps would you dig into due to this opposite effect?
Charlie says
You mentioned nicotine. Have you seen any signs of addiction yet? I’ve tried nic gum, didn’t like how it made my gums feel, mostly used patches instead. 21 mg patch cut into 6 equal pieces – call it a week’s worth from one big patch. The only effects I noticed were extra focus (I’ve singlehandedly put the H in ADHD since 1982), lots of weird dreams, and feeling damn good all day for a change.
But addictive? For me, not so much. In fact I’ve forgotten to put the patch on or chew any of the gum for a few months now after months of regular use. Got some cheap vaping gear from ebay and a bottle of pharmaceutical grade nicotine, and forgot to use that too. I totally suck at being a nicotine addict.
How about you, Robb? Anything interesting to report?
Charlie says
Piracetam makes me sleepy. Especially when taken with lecithin.
I’ve read that GABA absolutely can’t pass the blood brain barrier. Shouldn’t be getting to the brain at all. Yet many people report it having an effect. Clearly something is happening. Have you found any actual science about how it could be getting past the BBB?
John Fawkes says
I’m a fan of aniracetam, despite the taste. I also like phenibut for anxiety and sleep, but of course it produces rapid tolerance. I’ve heard aniracetam can counteract the phenibut tolerance by re-sensitizing your GABA-b receptors- any truth to that?

It’s hard to find well-informed people about this topic, but you seem like you know what you’re

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is valuable and all. Nevertheless think of if you added
some great photos or videos to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this site could definitely be one of the most beneficial in its field.
Excellent blog!

It’s nearly impossible to find knowledgeable people on this subject, however, you
