Noise is very bad when she is talking 🙁
Tara Pantera says
Very poignant. Enough to make me seek out every ketogenic Paleo diet recipe on the interwebs and put in a big Thrive Market order! My gpa lived to a ripe old age…95ish?, but his memory went fairly early. 🙁

I couldn’t listen to this podcast because of all the mic hits on the guest’s end (she was probably too close to the microphone and it sounded like sonic booms in my car). Isn’t there a way you can check audio levels so you don’t have the other person sounding so terrible?
Squatchy says
Sorry about that. I was able to slightly improve it, but not much I could do after it was recorded. I’ll try to get Robb to check a little better when beginning recording.
M says
Horrible sound!! Tell your guests to pull the mic away so they are spitting in and popping with every breath. Can’t you hear it, Robb??? Couldn’t continue after a few minutes in.
Amy Berger (@TuitNutrition) says
SORRY, everyone!
My fault entirely! Please don’t blame Robb and Squatchy.
M says
I meant…”so they are NOT spitting in….” Sorry/

The transcript is now up.

I didn’t think the noise was that bad. I got used to it. Content was great! Thanks Amy, Robb, Squatchy.

Great! Thanks; I love Amy’s work. So excited to be able to find out what she had to say. I am sure it was a great podcast.
kara says
The sound quality was not optimal but the content of this podcast was extremely interesting and very helpful. At last, solid actionable steps for the treatment and prevention of my age group’s most feared disease. Thank you both.
Amy Berger (@TuitNutrition) says
Thank you.
Yes, that’s the reason I wrote the book: actual, concrete steps people can take to be PROactive, rather than waiting for things to happen and being REactive after they do.
JenPenn says
The content was well worth the irritation of the sound. I will be passing this info on to family members who care for an Aunt who is afflicted with alzheimer’s. Amy’s ability to explain the treatment in practical layman’s terms and to empower caregivers is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thank you Amy and The Wolf Pack.
JenPenn says
Someone needs to correct Amy’s statement from the bottom of page 12 on the PDF transcript. I thinkwhat Amy actually said was: ” it was THAT effective”.
Pg 12 last paragraph reads: “I mean it was not effective and that wasn’t even I don’t think a full-on
ketogenic diet. So and I think I’m sure you’ve heard of Mary Newport.
She’s the one with husband”…
FGD products says
Cool article, It was practical.

Johns Hopkins is studying this. We’ll see if it pans out to the extent that she argues. Many of her statements are over-interpretations of the current science (i.e. “we DO know what causes AD”; “we know how to fix it”).
