Great interview! As a foot care professional (pedorthist) I agree with the transition from shod to barefoot takes much more time than anyone recommends. When I made the change it took at least a year before the muscle aches in my feet and calves subsided….and I don’t run. I wanted to experience the change so I know how to advice clients on how to make the transition. 3yrs later I’m still barefoot (minimal sandals) 80% of the year.

Any suggestions on what to do if you have prescription orthotics and a heal lift on one side?

Katy bowman is one of my all time favorite guests on the podcast. After she was on the first time, I immediately ordered her book. Everything she says is meaningful and important. I listened to the latest podcast twice already and learned something new each time! If you do start that book club, I’m IN! I’m on the lookout for new ways to squish my cells.
