I never really weighed myself on scales due to the fact that I build muscle, so weighing myself never worked for me. However, I can see that I have lost weight and inches in the 2 months that I have been on the Paleo Diet. I know it was the change in my diet due to having tried several other types of dieting, i.e. Atkins (many years ago ) which was ok, but not nutritional for me or changing my diet to an all brown diet, i.e. brown rice, brown bread, raw sugar, only chicken and fish etc. This diet wasn’t bad but I wasn’t losing any weight. I’ve always eaten vegetables and fruit, so no real change on that. I’ve always been athletic, softball 4 nights a week from April to October for many years, aerobics 2 days a week, and walking to 3 blocks to and from work for the past 3 years….so no huge change in that. However, I was still not losing weight, just maintaining the weight. Well, I started the Paleo diet on Dec 1, 2013 after an email from my co-worker and I just absolutely LOVE IT! It suggests everything I like, and even meats that I had given up in the past 5 years, i.e. red meats ….and I still dropped 2 pants sizes in 2 months. In addition, I don’t crave sweets anymore, so it also serves as an appetite suppressant in some way. Since the only thing I changed was to start the Paleo diet, this had to be the reason. I haven’t even started my softball season yet and in the past two months I have only been doing the Aerobics 2 nights a week and walking 3 blocks to and from work and still dropped the 2 pants sizes. Amazing! The Paleo Diet makes perfect sense and works for me.

Not the point of the story, but I’m so jealous that you have such a short commute!
Congrats on discovering – and enjoying – paleo 🙂

Ditto on being jealous of the commute. I had similar results my first 2 months last year. Unfortunately I’ve lost the “easy” weight. 100 gone and 60 to go, and the 60 has been with e for the last 25 years.
Way to go Michele! I bet softball will be even better this year!
