Bootcamps and group exercise classes are all the rage right now. In fact, they are popping up on every corner. As a gym owner, personal trainer, or strength coach, setting yourself apart from the rest is the key to being successful in this over-saturated market.
The problem with most Bootcamps and group exercise classes is that they are just based on wearing people out and making them tired, not necessarily making them better. This may work for some in the short-term, but as coaches we all know that the key to getting our clients the long-term results they want (which is to look good and feel good), is to introduce them to strength training, especially females.
This is something we do every day at J&M Strength and Conditioning. We do this so well in fact, that we have been forced to upgrade facilities twice in less than two years because we are growing so quickly. And guess what? We want to help YOU do it too.
We have teamed up with two of the best coaches in the business, Mike Robertson and Robb Wolf, to teach you our Bootcamp training model that not only gets a person moving better and feeling better; it also prepares them for more advanced training in the future.
Need proof? In less than a year of taking our classes, all of these ladies fell in love with strength training and the effects it had on their bodies as well as their confidence levels. In fact, they loved it so much that they decided they wanted to compete in a powerlifting meet. With the base they developed in our class, they were able to run two cycles of Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 and every single one of them set NASA state records at their very first powerlifting meet.
The coolest part? These ladies came to us just wanting to look good and feel good, and through our training model, they fell in love with strength training. Needless to say, the number of referrals we have received through these ladies has been astronomical. Everyone asks them what they do for their training, and people are dumbfounded when they say they only train 2-3 days a week. What is really impressive is that these ladies range in age from 21 to 41.
In addition to these awesome ladies, we have helped a 12 year old cross country runner shave minutes off of her mile time, helped a 30 year old triathlete set new race personal records, and helped a 60+ year old women lose 150 lbs. and cut down from 14 prescription medications to 1.
So if you’re interested in learning step-by-step exactly how we program and run our Bootcamp classes to get incredible results like these, check out Bootcamp in a Box here.
Below is an advertisement Molly Galbraith and I did for Joel Jamieson’s HRV application it gives a great overview of the gym and what we are all about. Joel is also a contributor to the product.

I just started working out at J & M two weeks ago and I can say I’m very impressed with their boot camp. I have a long standing neck and shoulder injury that always stops me from getting results. They have patiently guided me through each exercise at my level rather than trying to make me do what my body won’t do. I’m always amazed when I wake up the next day and can still move yet know that I received a full workout. Previous exercise attempts have left me bed ridden for days. I also have noticed tremendous amounts of energy after my work outs rather than exhaustion.
One thing that really stands out about Jim is his expertise. He has helped me and my family in more ways than he knows with his expertise in the paleo lifestyle and fitness. He has successfully added weight in just 2 weeks to my underweight 7 yr old without ever meeting him just through his suggestions. I like that I can ask his staff what to eat after my work outs and know that they will recommend something that is in line with my paleo diet.
I truly feel lucky to have found this way of getting fit and can’t wait to see where my journey at J & M takes me.
