This is in Vacaville,CA on our way to San Francisco. I’m still hanging at 16 blocks. My meal was a Double Meat Prptein Style (no bun), pecans and coffee. I deleted all carbs on this meal and subb’d in extra fat. I’ve ordered something similar to this at several hamburger chains and it has gone pretty well. In-n-out is by far the best but you do what you can!

Nice. I was just in California had a few In n Out burgers protein style. Quite tasty and convenient. I think Burgerville up here in Portland has something similar, but i don’t know if its as good. Perhaps worth a try.

In and Out rocks. When you order protein style, they wrap it in lettuce. Should we assume you tell them no sauce and ignore the lettuce when you call it no carbs? How many blocks of protein is a double?

Mark-
I roll with sauce and do not count the veggies as a block. I think it’s pretty close to 4 blocks protein.

I grew up in the “Double V-town”. I used to eat at that In-n-Out all the time. Now I go to ones closer to Walnut Creek where I live.
I love the 3×3 protein style with grilled onions, ketchup and mustard instead of the spread, protein style.
If you get two 3x3s as above, and a large chocolate shake, it will cost between $11.22 and $11.53 depending on which county sales tax you are contending with. . . why two 3x3s? Usually because I am ending a fast. . . and damnit they are just THAT GOOD!

Robb, the In’and’Out portrait is classic. I can almost see the gleam in your eye.

If you have to do it, you might as well do it right
