Happy to listen to experts share what works for all different types of athletes. Matt’s puzzle analogy was the perfect way to explain it.

This was amazing! Matt is truly passionate to say the least! He lives what he preaches.

Sorry for the lag in commenting, We are so blessed to have our daughter training the Pendola project and the methodologies discussed in the podcast.
The fabrication of elite athletes through the knowledge of physiology and holistic training methods that strengthen that athletes mind and body is exactly what our family looked for, and we love the positive environment and dedicated team members that uplift and encourage the athletes. We are truly grateful to be part

Loved hearing two fantastic coaches talk mindset and the importance of individualized plans. Coach Matt Pendola practices what he preaches here in episode 343. As parents of a long-time Pendola athlete, we can attest his program is ever-evolving and dynamic. He coaches athletes but never loses sight that they are so much more than just that. His role becomes bigger and more holistic. Our daughter benefits from the friendship between these two outstanding coaches — Matt Pendola and Bobby McGee. Thanks Robb for having them on!

I loved when Matt talked about the internal conversation of the athlete at the starting line. Just knowing that race is meant to show how hard the athlete is worked. It makes all the difference.
Annie Turner says
Your interview with Matt Pendola and Bobby McGee was exceptional. It’s obvious these men have worked exceptionally hard in their fields and both provided helpful insight into health, wellness and having a competitive edge with the right mindset. I love Matt’s quote about the importance of coaches “walking the walk”…and that he does! Matt has transformed our high school athlete from a talented but undersized basketball player to a Division I competitor. Pendola Training is second to none, as Matt is always on the cutting edge and he genuinely cares deeply about all of his athletes. You certainly get that feeling by listening to this wonderful interview!
Billy Haug says

I’ve been friends with Matt for several years, and it’s great to see him achieving his goals and continuing to succeed! He’s a great coach, mentor, father, and friend. Follow him and you’ll find success!

Loved the comments on self-talk and how each kid ticks differently. Having raised a very Type A son who wouldn’t even want to attempt something he thought he wouldn’t be perfect at the first time, I spent many hours reminding him that it is often times our failures that teach us the most. Today, he excels not only as an endurance athlete but also in life outside of athletics.

Great podcast guys! I’ve been a client/friend of Matt Pendola for many years myself and I’m glad to see him reaching more people with his vast knowledge. Having just joined the field as a fitness professional myself I feel that Matts podcast will be beneficial in my quest to further my education on fitness. Thank you everybody for posting, and thank you Matt for inviting me to this forum. I look forward to more of these.

Just got the chance to listen to this episode…so much information and vast knowledge shared between your guests, Matt Pendola and Bobby McGee. The Reno area is so fortunate to have someone of Matt’s caliber in our area. It is rare to find someone who is so passionate and knowledgeable yet knows how to apply these to his young athletes in a “real world” context. There is truly no one like him!
Robb Wolf says
Matt is incredible. Great to know you are a local!
