Hi Robb and Dr. Sydnor
I very much enjoyed listening to the podcast and listening to your conversation. Do you have any recommendations on books, blogs, podcasts to check out to learn more about the economic theory, and alternative market system, politics that was discussed. I felt very connected with what was being mentioned and would like to expand my knowledge and perhaps find some like minded individuals.
On a totally opposite topic, Robb, you mention old man BJJ classes in previous podcasts. Is part of injury mitigation for that starting in a guard position rather then standing? I ask because I did bjj a few years ago and loved it, but also saw a bunch of bad injuries as a result of the standup aspect of the game. I am currently in school to become a physical therapist (2nd career), and really miss rolling, but could not afford an ACL tear now or in the future, so just curious on how an old man bjj class is shaped to keep injuries down.
Thanks
Adam

Adam!
I REALLY like the folks over at Peakprosperity.com their view of energy, economy and environment are right in line with this stuff. I will have Chris Martenson (founder of PP) on the podcast Aug 26th i believe.
On the grappling topic: Like all of this stuff throws can and should be drilled in a progressive fashion. I see too many schools introduce a handful of techniques, then people just go live.check out the folks at Straight Blast Gym, Roy Dean, and Henry Aikens for more.

Great podcast Robb. Since discovering ‘Low Carb High Fat’ in early 2014 I have become addicted to low carb podcasts. I must be honest with you though, of the handful of podcasts that I listen to I find yours the most informative. I find you to be intelligent and considerate of both your guest and me the listener.
I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. The guest may be a closet socialist but he raises great grass fed beef liver. 🙂

Honored! thank you.

A topic near and dear.
The Dr. brought up some good points, although at times it got a little too “Al Gore” for my taste.
Either way, a topic as important as any.
Really good interview Robb
Thanks
AJ
Robb Wolf says
AJ-
the thing that oddly makes me think this line of thinking is pretty good is that folks on both the Left and Right get their britches bunched about it!

Thanks for the great interview. I haven’t finished it yet but the subjects covered and Dr. Sydnor were so good I want to compliment them, which is not something I normally do.
But, also, the comment about bjj made me remember a similar subject. I watched Ronda Rousey last weigh in and fight. What was interesting is that she had Mike Dolce of the Warrior Diet in her corner for both events. It made sense to have him at the weigh in as he played a big part in her making weight and not losing her vitality. But she also had him at the fight. To me that said that she thinks his help was very important. Anyway, I was wondering if you could have him and/or her come and talk about diets for making weight. Also, she is very much into helping people with eating disorders.

It sounds like Dr. Sydnor was ahead of his time with his grass-fed, environmentally sustainable approach to allowing cattle to roam and feed on grass. It’s gratifying that the tide is turning and more of the public now supports local farmers who use similar grass-fed and environmentally-friendly approaches.
Dr. Sydnor mentioned Firsthand Foods. Is that a CSA?
