Loved this episode and will be buying the book now. Curious about his thoughts on pink Himalayan salt.

Very interesting info on salt…. hope the info quickly reaches the masses, with acceptance!
How should a person increase the sodium in say a litre of water if they were running more than an hour, say a 2hr Race or more? I take 1 tsp of Sole water in a 1/2cup-1cup water before running, would this carry me through a 2 hr. period?

This was really an excellent episode. I have been keto before, and was feeling really good – but then lately I have been feeling sluggish while on keto and just figured it wasn’t good for me to be on it for a longer period of time (quite a bummer because it really helps me control my allergies, loose weight – and the first time I tried it I had felt so energetic). I now wonder if I was salt deficient? The first time I was keto I was really aware of eating loads of salt because it alleviated my allergy symptoms, but this time not so much, because the allergies are under control – and this second time was in August in a Mediterranean climate with me working out way more than the last time – esp. in the sun to get maximum benefit of heat and vitamin D etc. I will def. try keto again, but this time with way more salt.

I would have loved to have had more explained about ‘Real Salt’ v ‘Table Salt’. Could you add some info here on that? Is that a valid question? Table salt is processed I guess? Thanks in advance…
But great episode! as always.

This was so interesting I sent for “The Salt Fix” book more or less straightaway. While waiting for the book I started adding salt to my diet and having some salted water & lemon juice. I started to have less joint pain quite quickly. Now after 10 ten days – which is only a short time I know – I definitely have much lower levels of pain in muscles and joints, have a lighter mood and am sleeping better. I have been modified paleo (potatoes and rice & occasional chickpeas) since the beginning of 2012, and now I am wondering if the no salt part is not right for me. Thank you so much for this post and information Robb and Dr James.
