Hempsoft says
Great blog its very informative and motivative thanks for sharing.
Darcie says
So, Robb, would you say that you’re pretty pain free for the most part if you keep up your regimen? Also, you talked about mobility breaks–can you elaborate on what those consist of? Thanks!
Robb Wolf says
Yes, largely pain free if i stay on my mobility. and movement breaks are usually made up of the gymnastics bodies material, foam rolling, a walk around the corner etc.
Eric says
Listened to the podcast yesterday- loved it. Love wired to eat. Is Foundations One the book to get from coach Sommar for the back mobility/ stability work?
Robb Wolf says
IMO foundations
Nick says
Where do I find IMO foundations?
Benjamin Nutt says
Nick – yes, Foundations is the material mentioned. It’s Gymnastic Bodies’ first course.
Nick says
Yikes… 7mm disc blowout.
Thanks for the inspiring info. I’m rehabbing a herniation which is way minor compared to what you guys are talking about. Even then, there are tough, frustrating times. It’s always great to hear about people’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Michael says
Glad to hear the McKenzie method (aka “Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy”) was mentioned. It’s the most evidence-based approach to classification and management of low back pain, much of which is disc-related.
It’s also currently the most reliable assessment of who will respond to conservative therapy vs. who needs surgery (as long as it’s practiced by a well-trained clinician…).
Brian Johnson, Owner, Ancestral Supplements says
After wife read Katy Bowman’s Move Your DNA, she took our beds, and most furniture, away… at first I was pissed. Now, I couldn’t be happier. Best thing we ever did for our mobility.
Liver King says
Our tribe sleeps on the ground… since doing so, we no longer need pre-workout mobility work. As Katy Bowman puts it… it’s like active recovery all night long.
Liver King says
Rob, Squach… anyone, why do all my comments get erased / not published? Tell me what to do and I will gladly abide by your laws. Thanks!
Love your work!
Robb Wolf says
IDK amigo, i see this one and one other.
