Excellent podcast. I have Dr. Wentz’s first book. Her recommendation for selenium supplementation has been extremely beneficial for me. My mood and energy level, as well as just feeling ‘more whole’, has improved significantly with that one additional change (I was already gf, cow-dairy-free, and eating whole foods, etc.).
I am looking forward to reading her new book!
I have been diagnosed by my doctor with hypothyroidism and have been on WP Thyroid for about a year and a half. I’ve improved some, but still feel symptomatic. However, my thyroid antibodies are normal, almost nonexistent. Does that mean I don’t have Hashimoto’s? How likely is it that someone would have Hashimoto’s and not have any thyroid antibodies present?
Not medical advise, but have you looked at your other labs like TSH, T3, T4, etc.? You may not even be hypothyroid but the doc saw that one number was low and decided that you were.
