I have been training with Luis for multiple weeks now, and have followed him / ketogains for months. He does not beat around the bush and I love that about him. My body and mind is in the best shape its been in my entire life!

Good podcast. The dude kind of contradicted himself I thought.
Said he gets most of his fats from what was naturally in his foods – then a minute later stated he prefers to eat lean meats ie chicken breast, then add extra fats to it? Thought it was a bit weird.
Henry says
@Jordan,
He does that so he conveniently and accurately calculate his macros.

I am a fan of Luis, however, he like so many others overstates the nutrition you can get from a certain food. The MDR of Potassium ranges from 3,000 mg for toddlers to 5,100 mg for breastfeeding mothers. When you consider that there are 156 gm of potassium per ounce of avocado, and the average avocado is 5 ounces (California)…that is 780 mg per avocado. As you can see…that is multiple avocados per day. I know you will get Potassium from other foods…but I think you get the picture. Then you have to consider how much you actually absorb. I also am an OCD individual who lives by the adage that what you measure you manage. Wish there was a proven method of measuring micronutrients in the body. If you are going to eat a ketogenic diet…you cannot fit in all the veggies you need to meet your MDR of vitamins and minerals. Dr. Terry Walhs began her effort with 9 cups of veggies a day and it was not Ketogenic. I really enjoyed the interview and love the confirmation I get from Luis that I will not kill myself by eating Ketogenically.
