30 Day Guide to the Paleo Diet
Want some extra help? Have you been trying Paleo for a while but have questions or aren’t sure what the right exercise program is for you? Or maybe you just want a 30-day meal plan and shopping list to make things easier? We’ve created a getting started guide to help you through your first 30 days.
Thank you for answering every question I have not been able articulate regarding my nutrition & training for competitive rowing! Trying to reconcile the need for volume on the water to acquire the technical skills with the consequences of repeatative motion injury has been a big challenge, especially as a Master’s rower. After about 8 years, I found myself locked up and my strength diminishing and have found, like Ursula, that strength training and even more importantly, mobility work are restoring me. I particularly had to quit spending too much time on the ergometer.
Best of luck for the Olympic trials, Ursula….I’ll be rooting for you! And Robb…like it or not, you are a hero!
Thanks Leah. I think doing the alternative training just helps to balance out that repetitive motion of rowing and make you ultimately a better athlete. Work in good nutrition, and lifestyle habits like sleep, happy moments and beautiful rowing mornings and you are living the dream, in my opinion!
Lets see how 2015 goes! Got to make the qualifier for Olympics first 🙂 And before that even, got to get selected for the South African team Lightweight Double as there are three girls going for two seats!
I firmly believe that dieting alone is not enough to be healthy and exercise is a must. It doesn’t matter how you exercise, but you need to stay active. Rowing is not necessary…however, rowing is an excellent sport that will help you stay lean, healthy, and strong.
