Challenge: Add some SPICE to your life! Try cooking with a new herb or spice today. If salt and pepper are all you’re using – you are missing out. Fresh herbs are great and can be found in the produce section – basil, oregano, thyme, cilantro, sage, rosemary, parsley (yes, you can eat and cook with it – it’s more than just garnish). Spices are great too – cumin, curry, chili powder, marjoram, nutmeg, coriander, turmeric – there are lots of options!
Amy’s Two-Second Takeaway: “I can’t cook” is not an excuse to eat crappy food. Cooking doesn’t have to be elaborate or fancy – if you can boil water, you can make hard-boiled eggs. If you can turn on your oven, you can bake chicken or fish and if you still don’t have a crock pot – GET ONE – they are “I can’t cook”-proof!
