Welcome to the brand new Robb Wolf.com!
Fresh look! We’re so excited to finally debut the brand new site. Travis Isaacs from Improving Enterprises did a great job with the design and execution. Thanks, Travis!
Take a look around – here are a few new things on the freshly designed site you won’t wanna miss:
- A super-sweet mobile version of the site. We’ve gotten a lot of requests for a better mobile version of Robb Wolf.com and we listened. Check this out on your smartphone or tablet – we think you’ll like how it works.

- Help for the newbies. If you’re new to the Paleo diet, you’ll know right where to get started.
- Shop. An easier interface for buying Robb’s books. And speaking of books, we’re proud to announce the brand new…

I understand that Robb has to pay the bills, but I’m sad the site/Robb Wolf “brand” keeps expanding and feeling more like a marketing message. I miss the old site, which felt less like attempts to sells stuff and more like attempts to just share information. A budget shopping guide book? Haven’t there been a thousand posts by a thousand paleo blogs about this already? I like Robb because he brings the science to the table, along with the research. Whole9, MDA and a bunch of other places have already dealt with how to shop paleo and info for newbies. So have a lot of other books already published, including Robb’s first one(from what I remember). I’ve started to come here less and less often, as the quality of the information has started to take a nosedive… with one in five posts, or something like that, actually being about solid nutritional science.
Missing the old vibe…. I’ll be sad to see if Robb Wolf’s extremely high quality information over time becomes just another Paleo, Inc.

mariah-
I appreciate the thoughts…and believe me I’ve rattled about this but yea, If I can’t monitize this thing it just goes away. I have several people “earning a living” due to the site now. Like “food, clothing, shelter…feed family.” I’m sorry you feel the site quality is lower…I try to get 1 post a week up, do the podcast, run the gym, get ready for a kid to arrive, help organize scientific research around the paleo diet…I’m busy kiddo! I’ve brought in other folks to do writing, I put their names on the articles instead of hiring a ghost writer to do the lions share and then slap my name on it.
If the site starts to suck, then you, and the rest of the “market” will sense that and move along to greener pastures. I honestly think you are being a little to critical of the upgrade and it’s been an interesting thing to learn over the past 10 years of being in a service industry: When we make a change, no matter how good that change, no matter how overwhelming the positive response to that change…someone will not like the change. Alas, I will not be able to both be successful, and make everyone happy. I will just endeavor to make as many people as possible know that they have an option in how they approach their health that is quite divergent from the standard of care. That will save lives, that’s what I’m here to do. I have a post going up next week on “how to convince people to eat paleo.” I’d really appreciate your thoughts on THAT one.

Mariah, thanks for the feedback. As Robb said, selling books and information is how we fund all the FREE information, hours of podcasts, and hundreds of articles Robb has written about science, diet, exercise, and overall wellness. We hope you’ll find all the free information we share with folks on a daily basis valuable enough to stick around for an occasional sales pitch so we can continue to provide all the good stuff!
Speaking to this book specifically, we put it together because we’ve received literally hundreds of questions about shopping on a budget and hundreds of requests for more information and resources about eating paleo without breaking the bank. Yes, the information is out there, but people keep asking for it. So we are trying to present information in a way that is useful to folks.

Have not looked at the new site yet, later today/night perhaps. I agree with Amber, it takes a lot of folding stuff to keep the free information coming and to pay staff, as well as keeping the wolf[pun not intended]from your own door. I like to read all your articles which provide so much information. Even the ones that are not my thing give my brain a workout. Congratulations on the expected addition.

Robb,
I’ve been a faithful blog follower for almost a year. The website changes are great and hats off to you and the great work you and your team do.
Cheers

I VERY MUCH appreciate all the free stuff and buy the ebooks/books especially to help pay for all I’ve taken from you, Well Fed, Mark’s Daily Apple, etc. Thanks for all you do!!

I appreciate the newly organized blog posts and the revamped getting started with Paleo section. You are always the first site I link to when answering questions about What is Paleo? and I think this is easier to digest that the previous incarnation.
I do miss the awesomely cute picture of Robb doing science with the kitty. Is that still available somewhere so that if I wanted to link to the site and use that as the graphic (instead of Robb’s mug*) I could? 🙂
* Not dissing Robb, I just loved the cartoon kitty with the test tubes!

I love that too! I’m going to put it on my bio page. We have a LOT of interest coming from media and government and the old look was unfortunately, off-putting to some of these “established” organisations. And…stuff was hard as hell to find. So, we’ll keep as much of the good from the old stuff as we can, while updating things to grow into the future.
suzanna says
Somehow the previous design looked more professional to me. The colors of the new site and the unflattering picture of Robb (there are lots of better photos of him out there) make it feel a bit dreary.
Still great info, which is what counts, but not as enticing a package.
Robb Wolf says
Ouch! We’ll see if we can find a better side to me!
Mary says
Hi Robb, I see your point about needing a look that will go down well with established organizations. I commented on Facebook that you looked cool in iCaveman, but that would be even less palatable for the powers that be. Really, it’s just not a good pic of you. Maybe you could get your photographer to get a head/shoulders shot of you in action (at the gym or in a lecture), so your personality and good looks will come through better.
Robb Wolf says
Thanks mary…I’ll tinker with that. i’m also trying to avoid the shirtless fitness guru route, although that DOES sell. We had stuff brewing with several universities and governmental organisations…we just needed to mainstream things a bit to make that more palatable, but i’ll try to improve this.

If the churches schools and none profit organizations can earn a living off of info that might help in life..Why shouldn’t Mr. Robb wolf and company earn a living off of info that saving lives ..i’m 6months in with paleo and I personally fell like it’s gift what mr. robb is blessing us with…The,freedom to enjoy life to the fullest

I really appreciate that. The Internet is interesting. Give folks lots of free stuff, no bs, offer optional premium items…and some people whine like they have been beat with a stick!
Anyway, thanks for the comment.
