Hey everybody!
I hope y’all are doing well. The sun decided to come out in Chico and it seems to have snapped me and The Gato out of our funk. I know folks are busy, I know folks might be tight on funds, but I want to “hump your collective knee’s” for help with two projects that I think are really important.
This Shirt Built a School
Some of you might have heard of this, but for those of you who have not, CrossFit Academy of Lions is sponsoring a program that helps urban youth, the homeless and organizations that work to build schools in Africa with the proceeds generated by T-shirt sales. You can get all the details here.
Now, why would you want to support this particular program? Well, aside from the fact it does a lot of good, CFAOL and it’s founder, Dhani Oks have been undying supporters of everything paleo. They have hosted Mat Lalonde multiple times and are a sponsor of the upcoming Paleo Solution Seminar.
The Perfect Human Diet
CJ Hunt has been working for several years on a documentary detailing the search for the perfect human diet. He has interviewed a remarkable number of people who are at the cutting edge of the Paleo/Evolutionary Medicine front. You might even see a minute or two of me in the film.
Why is it important to support this project? With films like “Forks Over Knives” and former president Bill Clinton pushing the vegan agenda, it’s an important time to have the paleo message broadcast to the masses. Here is a note CJ shot to me recently:
Hi Robb,
Just saw your “Neanderthal a Go Go” Blog article.
Due to the continuing controversy and confusion around what constituted the true Paleolithic human diet every time a poorly researched media report shows up, it prompted me to write and let you know that your readers will soon be relieved from having to defend "paleo" as a model for a healthy modern diet, or feel undo pressure to ‘re-brand’ the concept. Why? Because they will finally get to see groundbreaking scientific proof of what the “paleo diet” was made up of for themselves (and the undeniable negative ramifications of changing that).
As you know I’m near completion on the investigative documentary “In Search of the Perfect Human Diet (TM)“. I’m very excited to say what we’ve discovered during the filming will answer many questions that are being passionately argued, or in my field, inaccurately reported. Specific to your blog post, the major dietary difference between Neanderthals and healthy ‘paleo’ humans is revealed in the film… and it has nothing to do with tubers, cooking, or grains. In addition, the film has much more recent radio isotopic data and global scientific evidence (from first person sources) than the published references that can be cited at this time.
I don’t want to spoil the movie by disclosing too much, but I can say that those of us who have the open-minded curiosity to want to dig up the truth surrounding diets effect on health, will come away from viewing the film with confidence that the most current, fact-based scientific information is finally at hand to help inform our own dietary decisions, or share the findings with others.
If any of your readers want to sign up to be notified of the DVD release the link to the website is below. And as you asked, if they want to become credited supporting producers of the film by making a qualifying contribution to help us complete and release the film faster (and get other tangible perks) that is still available for a short time, and definitely makes a difference on speeding up our release date (perks details on site).
As always, keep up the great work Robb!
Sincerely,
CJ
Intrigued? Yep, me too, and hopefully you will help with the post production efforts to bring this important film to completion.

“This Shirt Built a School” sounds really cool. Definitely checking it out.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting “In Search of the Perfect Human Diet”. That’s really exciting they have some of the latest research in the area, I’m very intrigued. The more research, the more proof, the more positive publicity the better.
This could be an epic documentary.
