Well, It’s off life support anyway. It has a few buggs and I’m getting used to the back-end, but it’s finally rolling. For a simple front-end you would not believe the back-end that went into this thing.
What we need from y’all
We need doctors, pharmacists, PT’s, Nurse practitioners, DC’s, ND’s, DO’s, LAC’s…you know, primary care health providers to sign up on this network. RD’s and coaches will have a different site shortly, so hold your horses if you fall into that camp. Tell the folks who know that Evolutionary Medicine is the best medicine to sign up, and become part of the solution.
This is great! My husband and I just moved to Phoenix and could use a new doc.
I moved to Phoenix about a year ago and still don’t have a doc. If you guys find a sensible physician near central PHX please share.
Joe & DJ –
My Doctor in South Scottsdale is the best Doctor I have ever had, she is attentive and caring, I do not know how she feels about diet, but if you are looking for a Doctor in the area then I do recommend her.
Dr. Judith Mello, 480-949-9333
Jimmy Moore has this site for paleo/primal/low carb/evolutionary medicine physicians that has been built up by readers.
http://lowcarbdoctors.blogspot.com/
Nice one; many congratulations.
Great to see the international aspect hasn’t been overlooked. I’ll watch the development with interest.
Great idea! My only beef is that the Facebook Connection is quite intrusive. It wants access to a bunch of profile information and the ability to post pretty much anything to my wall? Not going to happen. Other than that, can’t wait for your database to be populated.
I’ll see if I can tweak some settings on that.
Robb,
I have been a long time follower (years) and have my own blog with a similar message and teach paleo principles to law enforcment..the only agency in the country that I know of..and have never made a post. After reading this, I wanted to say that this is amazing and fully support what you are trying to do. If this takes off, and it will, you will be making history my friend and truly turn the tide. I hate to sound cliche, but keep up the great work brother!
Thanks Buck1
Great news! I love that you have “Paleo” front and center so that there are no illusions about this group’s focus, unlike the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine or the Center for Science in the Public Interest. Those names imply selfless sacrifice to public health, contrary to the awful information they publish. Bravo, Robb!
Looking forward for the Network’s expansion into Canada!
We will have canada listed soon.
Another Vote for Canada Robb, even if you have to burn out your adrenals to get it up!
DOs = doctors, in case you forgot…
that’s why they are mentioned in there…
Hey Robb,
I emailed you recently about my dads Utah doctor recommending the Paleo diet in his cancer treatment. I promise to send the write up you recommended once things really start moving. In the mean time I will contact them and request they sign on. (I can also send you the contact info when I get it)
Thanks for all for all of your hard work!
Thanks Christina! that’s great.
How are healthcare practitioners added to the database? Is there a screening process?
We do a minimalist screen, it’s on folks to check on health care providers as they would normally, for example checking for malpractice etc. This is an attempt to make finding people easier, not a complex QA/QC process.
Congratulations on the launch, it’s a resource I looked for and couldn’t find about a year ago, which led me to think of the same concept and register a domain (paleodoctor.com yours if you can find it useful). Of course, I didn’t get around to turn it into reality, but it’s good to know someone capable has tackled this. Above @Dexter mention’s Jimmy Moore’s attempt at something similar, but it’s also extremely basic and, I feel, neglected.
Best of luck!
The success is going to be community driven and although I have a soft spot for low carb I think we need something mire sophisticated, and the Paleo/evolutionary biology perspective is a good start.
Robb et al,
This is so awesome. Since I attended your Paleo Solutions seminar in New York and you mentioned a physician network I have been waiting for this to roll out. A total game changer!!! Nice work brother. Can’t wait to see how this “evolves”.
Thanks, it’s been a lot of work, very excited to see where it goes.
This is awesome! I can’t wait to see the network grow – hoping to see some Chicago doc’s sign on! Thank you!
This is pretty awesome, I’m wrapping up my undergraduate to go into ND school and hopefully one day I will enter this list. May need to see who are the NDs and LAcs around my turf – mine is a vegan!!!
This is great! I hope to find a doctor through this as the network grows. As of today, my search has been futile.
Fantastic work guys!! Huge kudos to Amber and the team on the look of the website. Professional, modern, beautiful, easy to navigate. LOVE the tagline and header graphic. Having worked on websites in the past I can only imagine how much work its taking. I’d be willing to help work on a paleo scientists network if such a thing ever gains momentum. Thank you for all your hard work!!

Just a suggestion: a link on that physician’s network site to the basic paleo low-down for docs. (And maybe some links to the more technical stuff that a doc would actually understand.) I don’t know if my regular doc would be into the paleo deal, but I’d like to forward the link to him so he can check it out. It would be helpful if the basic paleo FAQ could be reached directly from the physician’s network site.
If it’s actually on there already and I just missed it, feel free to disregard and/or ridicule me.
Jeremy-
This is not intended (initially) to be an educational site for health care providers. To some degree this is about FINDING those docs who have done the research and are on-board. The site will grow over time, we will offer a certification for health care providers only and then you will see a ranking system fo the providers bassed on education and likely a Yelp like social networking feature.
Awesome. This really has tons of potential, and I’m glad you guys are taking the paleo community in this direction. Keep up the good work!
Hi, Robb!
I’m an acupuncturist in Philadelphia who lives and recommends the Paleo lifestyle. Please give me info about your network.
Just a simple way for folks to find you.
This rocks.
I love you guys.
This is a great big step towards the tipping point! I’ll do my part to spread the word.
PS – When will paleodating.com be ready?!
Robb, what do you think of a program such as this one? Would you accept a grad of this program into your physicians network?
http://www.jfku.edu/Programs-and-Courses/College-of-Professional-Studies/Holistic-Health-Education/Programs/MA-Holistic-Health-Education.html
I meant to say, a person who has graduated from this program and believes in/tries to implement evolutionary medicine.
As a Family Physician in Australia I am interested in signing up – would be keen to know if there is any formal accreditation of training in the wings, rather than having just read yours and Loren’s books. (which I have).
My chronic (various!) tendinopathy has all but gone and have just run my first Half marathon, THANKS VERY MUCH!
Yes! We have a certification program in the works, first offering will likely be in October, possibly at Emory University in Atlanta.
Robb-Please consider allowing students of medical programs to take the certification classes, too. It will provide a lens in with to evaluate our studies through. Asking smart Paleo questions in our classes, and raising awareness at our schools will help to provide awareness at our schools, with our professors, and our fellow students.
I am so impressed! 🙂 I bought your book yesterday. (kindle)
I am enjoying the read! You have made me laugh out loud many times!
That is talent. I am new to paleo. I started the lifestyle almost
two weeks ago. I still feel yucky. 🙁 I am certain I am eating well.
I am 49, 5′ 3 1/2″ and currently weight 113.5 lbs. I was 117.5 when I started paleo.
I should add I have a “bug” too. Not certain what! So, I am having
a hard time with feeling like a depressed slug.
I have auto-immune issues. This makes it tough as I have multiple intolerances to otherwise healthy foods. 🙁
Looking forward to being healthy soon.
Enjoy your time away!
Hi Robb-
Thank you for getting this rolling! I am in school to become a D.C. will will proudly be a practicing Paleo Physician!
Maddie
Can you take a look at the bug when trying to select Canada? It comes up with only U.S. states, not Canadian provinces, and then tells me there is none, but I’m seeing some on the map. Also, should I be able to click on the pins on the map and have the name come up? That would be cool.
Aside from those minor things, we want to thank you for putting the time and energy into getting this up and running. We will definitely be adding our names to the list. Great resource for people interested in truly helping themselves get better.
This is so wonderful! You are truly inspiring the way you continue to evolve paleo nutrition resources so that we can help you help us;) I’m working on a degree in Nutrition and becoming a Registered Dietician. It will be a few more years, but soon you can add me to your list!
what about medical students?
This is wonderful, Robb! Just found out about this network in your book (p. 232). Truly hope to find a doctor in Seattle who doesn’t try to push statins my way.
Thanks again,
Sharon
It seems to be a lot of Chiropractors and not doctors, might have to do with living in GA though… I don’t have anything against chiropractors, but I would love to find a good general practitioner who understands the science behind Paleo!
I’d like more too Josh, what do you recommend?
I have a question for Robb and/or doctors that may be reading this blog.
My wife and I are following the Peleo diet and she has read the book from Robb. We are losing weight, which is good – and we’re using mostly fish as our meat source, with occasional turkey and chicken, and our read meat source being range-grazed bison. However, because we know from medical research that animal fat is a primary source of arterial plaque and eventual problems such as angioplasty and bypass surgery, high blood pressure, etc.
So it would be a legitimate concern for me to introduce any more of these fats into my diet than absolutely necessary. Has this concern been taken into consideration? Is there some “thing” about the Peleo diet that will ensure this isn’t an issue? I’ve just known too many family and friends that have been put on a gurney and split open like a Thanksgiving turkey, for this not to be a serious consideration (and they never seem right afterward) – I don’t want to go down that road, so I’m looking for information and assurance on this.
Thank you very much.
David
David-
You need to re-read the book.
I am a chiropractor from Annapolis Maryland. I have been crossfitting and Paleo for 2 years. I teach functional movements in my practice ( Squat\DL etc) as well as reverse hyper and GHD in office. My wife and 4 daughters paleo also. Unfortunately getting MD’s onboard has been challenging,ND’s also. Would love to see the schools get some sense of nutrition -they think whole grain lucky charms are great choice.
How do I get on the PPN ?
Doc, just sign up, I verify the accounts and you are rolling.
Facebook….Therapeutic Associates of Maui, LLC
I am a Physical Therapist who specializes in MDT of the spine which is all about teaching folk the truth about self-management of the spine. I will get signed up. thanks
Lee
I met you on Oahu at your seminar.
Lee-
You signed up, yes? I think I saw you in the database?
How about us Massage Therapist and Chiropractor types?
Robb i used 2 have 4 breakfast almond milk with whey protin powder for a quick breakfast.
I stopped doing it until i have an answer from you
Thanks
Tom
Not to be a dork about it, but a search for Texas turns up nothing.
Clicking a Drop Pin gets me to a doc in Texas.
What about Physician Assistants? You have NPs on there but not PA’s
Any update as to how the network for paleo RD’s is coming? I’d love to find one to volunteer with and shadow while I’m in grad school working towards an M.S. in Nutrition and RD certification. Amazing work by the way, I’m in awe of how much information you’re constantly pumping out.
The RD’s are IN the network. We sill split that uplater…you just need to fish a little!
Thanks a lot! Found a couple of paleo practitioners pretty close by and have fingers crossed that they want free help from a eager student!
I have been looking for someone LOCAL in the Phoenix, Scottsdale or surrounding areas of AZ to assist me with changing my Nutrition to the Paleo Health. I am not sure who may be suited to help. I have a number of health issues that I believe are caused by my Current diet,Thanks so much.
Tammy-
James will be in the Scottsdale area soon:
http://optexperience.com/
Not a physician but very good at the food/lifestyle.
Website isn’t working.
Is the website going to go back up any time soon?
Looks like only the homepage is down. You can still get to parts of the site, e.g. http://paleophysiciansnetwork.com/doctors

Hello,
My name is Jack Wolfson DO. I am a board certified cardiologist in
Phoenix, AZ. I practice holistic cardiology. I use paleo-nutrition and supplements to get patients off medications and find true health.
Sometimes patients need urgent cardiac care but my mission is to avoid that stage. My practice accepts all insurance. 602 867 8644.
Thank you.
Jack-
did you sign up for a free profile at http://www.paleophysiciansnetwork.com
To Robb (or anybody else that has input),
Do you have any suggestions for how to go about finding a competent personal trainer in the Chicagoland area? It’s for my Mother–she’s 65 years old and has horrid personal trainers in the past. She’s a novice to all forms of training, but keeps a 100% LEGIT Paleo diet at all times and has been for about a year now. Basically, I’m looking for somebody who will be able to do a lot of functional movement so she can get to the point where she is able to start training productively. How do I go about finding this? Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
Adam
Hi Rob, I noticed that you have not included Physician Assistants (PA-C) in you “please sign up” list.
PA’s are extremely well educated in primary care, as well as, all subspecialties of medicine
CNN has ranked the profession the #2 growing professional degree in the country — and I would like to potentially start a sub chapter of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) with you. You can gain more info about PA’s at AAPA.net or email me
Thanks – Mac
Michael MacGregor MSPAS, PA-C
I have just read your book about the paleolithic lifestyle and 30 day plan. I am interested in finding a suitable doctor in my area (Nashville, TN). I am also eligible for medicare and wish to know if any of the paleolithic doctors welcome medicare patients.
I am ready to go, just need to find someone compatible.
