Challenge: Recruit support and tell those around you what you’re doing. Ask them to SUPPORT you, encourage you and hold you accountable to eating well. (Kids LOVE to help with this!) Use your family, your friends, your co-workers and your gym friends – make your environment safe and supportive.
Amy’s Two-Second Takeaway: Can’t afford grass fed, pastured, free-range meat and poultry? It’s not a deal breaker! Buy the best quality you can and stick with lean cuts and skinless poultry. Fat is a storage house for toxins, so it’s where any residual hormones, antibiotics and other icky stuff is going to be. Also, by keeping it lean you’ll be avoiding a heavy load of pro-inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids.
