Challenge: Expand your post workout carb horizon. Sweet potatoes are great – but they shouldn’t be your ONLY option. Try parsnips, butternut or acorn squash, plantains, white potatoes (if you don’t have an autoimmune disease), or even some white rice – really, it’s OKAY!
Two-Second Take Away: Did you say CARBS?!?!? Carbs are not EVIL – and in many cases your body will function better with a little carb. This doesn’t mean LOTS of fruit, starchy vegetables and paleo treats, but there is a time and a place for something besides meat and vegetables.
