In 2009, my life forever changed, and not for the better. I had been struggling with vision problems, muscle issues, extreme fatigue and tingling in my extremities. My life was pretty typical of most, wife, mother and working full time as a lab technician. At that time in my life I was eating a diet of mainly processed foods and definitely had a carb addiction!
My doctor was quite concerned that I was dealing with an autoimmune disease and after extensive testing I was diagnosis with RRMS. I was immediately started on daily injections of the drug Copaxone. Not only was I dealing with MS, but was also dealing with side effects. I eventually had to stop working, which was like a death to me! Most days for me consisted of dragging myself out of bed in pain and fatigue, my health was definitely in a downward spiral.
A few months back I was talking to a fellow MS’er who had been through a similar situation as myself with his health and he had been following a new eating regime that was making a difference in his MS symptoms, so he shared this information with me and I decided to do it! This eating regime was Paleo!!
I am in my 6th week of eating Paleo and I cannot begin to tell you the difference it has made in my life! My health is returning in leaps and bounds! I am actually sleeping and waking up rested. The fatigue has lifted, my muscles do not ache, my spasticity is at a minimum. My vision is great! And the best part is… I’m off the meds!!
I have to tell you, I am a firm believer in the Paleo eating regime. For me, it has been a health restorer, which is what I was hoping it would do. Not only is my health being restored but I am losing weight! Win win! I encourage anyone who is thinking about going Paleo…do it!

This is fantastic! When people complain to me about sickness I often recommend a change in diet. Like Edison said, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease” Now we need to get the doctors to go paleo.

Amazing story Rebecca, I am so pleased for you. If more people would just leave their conventional beliefs behind, so many people could enjoy their lives free of pain and suffering. Diet is such an amazing ‘medicine’!!

What an inspirational story! It’s such a breath of fresh air to hear such a positive story from changing to the paleo diet! I’m really glad I read this today, thanks for sharing Rebecca 🙂

Did you completely reverse your symptoms…or did the diet keep your current symptoms from getting worse? I’m asking because we have roughly the same symptoms, but I was told I was only in stage one. I’m about to start the paleo diet and stop my prescribed medications because a lot of them have lactose, so I am wondering how it has affected symptoms you already had?

I am a 64 year old female, I was diagnosed of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2008 (MRI), my symptoms started out with severe fatigue, poor balance, numbness, double vision, heat intolerance and anxiety. I was unable to go back to work, I tried Betaseron for about 6 years. Tried every shot available, all made me sick.
In November 2015, I started on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Herbal formula from NewLife Clinic, the treatment worked incredibly for my MS condition. I used the NewLife MS Herbal formula for a total time period of 4 months, it totally reversed my Multiple Sclerosis. I had a total decline of all symptoms including vision problems, numbness and others. Sometimes, i totally forget i ever had MS.
Visit NewLife Clinic web-site ww w. newlifeherbalclinic. com. I am very pleased with this treatment. I eat well, sleep well and exercise regularly. My attitude is extremely positive.

This is (hot) garbage.
it is terribly irresponsible to tell those with MS to stop taking their medication just because of a diet plan. I’ve been doing some cursory googling and what little effect Paleo has on MS was done in studies that relied solely on observational data and didn’t even have control groups. Most MS medications actually suppress the immune system (a person’s immune system is what causes the damage in MS). I’m not saying that the Paleo diet isn’t beneficial to a person’s health generally, but there is absolutely no evidence to support this claim that it can act as a substitute for actual disease modifying drugs.

Perhaps if you spent less time being irate and more time researching this topic you’d be in an overall better place: https://terrywahls.com/wahls-research-team-progress-update/
