Great interview Robb. Thanks for guilting me out of my once a week protein shake! LOL! Way to get all the important points in to a radio show, very well done.

I just happend to time this right; the player loaded just in time for the interview. Very nice job. It’s got to be a challenge to pull this off in a short, sports-radio interview format, particularly when you know that almost no one listening is as far into this as you (or even I, a humble blog-lurker) are.

Thank Brian! I had no idea what the format would be and only had confirmation about 40 min prior to the show…lukily I did not get too tongue tied!

Robb,
Really good interview this evening. I was glad to have caught it. As always, thanks for all the great information and knowledge you so freely share. I am really looking forward to the upcoming books!
I have a quick question about the 15g of fish oil per day I have heard you recommend. In the past you’ve said that you take the Kirkland brand of fish oil, is that correct? And I believe one capsule of that brand is 300mg of DHA/EPA, is that correct? And there are 1000mg in 1g, which mean 3-4 capsules (of the Kirkland brand) equals 1g. So, is it accurate that you take roughly 45+ capsules of fish oil each day?
Thanks for clarifying?

Yep, about 45-50/day.

sorry, not related to the post, but …
i’ve read/heard from a lot of places about the interacting effects of hyperinsulinemia and poor omega3/omega6 ratio that leads to problems greater than the sum of the problems from just either one.
what is the mechanism/link between the two? thanks for your help!
robbwolf says
Dan-
All I can say for now is they are synergistic…it’s pretty complex beyond that but they certainly contribute to the overall problem.

Managed to catch a few minutes of it. Good stuff.
I wanted to point you to an interesting site regarding healthy eating on the road: http://fastfoodiecooks.com/2009/08/13/road-food-whats-your-excuse/ She’s an amazing athlete (represented the USA in the recent World 100K Championship race- came in 4th as I recall) and a gifted chef. She’s not exactly paleo, but not far from it much of the time. Her arugula stuffed chicken breast and mashed butternut squash recipes have become a staple in our kitchen.
