A HUGE thank you to our host, David Osorio, his trainers and all the folks who came out for a day of Paleo/Zone Sheenanigans!
Nicki and I were able to stomp around the Park Slope are of Brooklyn and it was fantastic. Great food, fun people and lots to see. Folks came prepared with great questions and loads of energy…THANK YOU!

Awesome seminar, got tons of great information. Especially loved the bit on tequila being paleo! 🙂
Seriously though thanks Rob, its great to see someone that shows a real passion in nutrition and just trying to get the word out on how easy it is to be healthy and make excellent fitness gains just by fixing your diet.

Hey Robb,
I had a great time at the Nutritional Cert in Brooklyn! (CFSBK rocks!)
In particular, I found the information you gave us on supplements to be quite helpful. Frequently, I find myself overwhelmed by all the supplements on the market.
I do have a question though:
You mentioned taking a methylated B vitamin. I’ve really only been able to find methylated B12 vitamin in the form of methylcobalamin. The one of the few B complexes to contain methylcobalamin is “B Right” by Jarrow. My question is: do the other B vitamins in the complex need to be methylated?
Hey Girl!
It was great to finally meet you and the rest fo the South Brooklyn kids! We are hoping to get out there for a month in May…keep your fingers crossed!
That Jarrow product is the schiznitz! the main vits you wants are b-6,9,12.

Thanks for everything Robb. Loved the Cert. It was too short.
I have some more questions for you so I’m shooting you an email.
Awesome Keith!!

I loved the cert as well and still find myself thinking over all the great info daily (when I should be concentrating on work). I like to call this the “Awesome Information Hangover”. I have been Paleoing since with the increased fat levels since last Saturday (With the exception of cream in my coffee-sorry Robb-please don’t fire me from the Level II when you get it together) and noticed an almost immediate difference with 2 PR’s this week, a 275# deadlift and 26 rounds of “Cindy” with better energy, focus and recovery. I am still working on someone to work with me on the ordering of bloodwork (Lab Corp here requires a doctor order) but have several members of CFDover doing the “pre” photos and committing to trying Paleo 1st then zoning it out. These are people who already do well on WOD’s regularly and have tried the Zone a little but always bail on it because of recovery and energy/hunger levels…I’m hoping they will notice a quick improvement as I did and it will skyrocket their motivation and dedication to giving this a shot.
Additionally, I’m an Occupational Therapist who works with special needs kids in the school system (Primarily, Asberger’s Syndrome, ADHD and other learning difficulties) and have long felt that bad diet leads to worse performance for these kids. I’ve tried to steer many of the parents towards a Feingold Diet with some improvement for the compliant families but am wondering if the addition of a Paleo focus would also be helpful…I’d love to do and publish a study on this and would love your help if you are interested. Thank you again so much and please thank Nikki as well…I know that all the time you spend on us, ‘nutrition newbies’/victims of Snackwells, cuts in to the time you guys have to spend together but I’m glad you guys are doing this. It’s good and valuable work…Mara
Mara!
You are kicking ass girl! thanks much for the kind words…I’m just glad the work we are doing benefits folks…it’s very rewarding. I think a more paleo focused approach would greatly benefit the autistic community, ADHD etc. Insulin control, removal of gluten and the addition of fish oil seems like a slam dunk.
Keep me posted on your progress and if I can help with that paper. Just let me know.
