Hey everyone. We had a hiccup with the polls for a little while, they’re back up now, so get those votes in before 1pm!
Chef Rick says
I experienced the same thing here in Yonkers NY because I had 60-70 coworkers who all tried voting from our workplace and once the first votes went in apparently your server treats all these persons as coming from the same IP address, locks out our voting rights and displays the results screen to all our PCs in the same bldg…I suspect this is what occurred with the other people commenting here as well, yes?
I suggest others re-try voting from machines on a completely different network, firewall or router or from a mobile device; then you should be able to get thru to the radio buttons and cast your votes…
It is what it is, but I certainly noticed this happening here and many co-workers called me at my desk to say they received my email asking for their votes but tried and were unable to.
Best regards and Happy Holidays to all,
Chef Rick
Chris says
We actually had the polls accidentally close for a while, so you might want to have people check again in case.
Chef Rick says
Nope Chris not the case here at CR, once the first few went onto the contest all of our office and lab computers displayed the results screen and no one else was able to vote yesterday or today (unless they tried from home or perhaps had a smartphone with them)…No biggie just FYI.
Rick
Linda Marcy says
Hard to choose just 1 in each category. Did my best. Yum.
Lynn Rolle says
I’ve tried to vote multiple times, but I only see results. I’ve yet to be able to select my favorite in each category. Are you going to extend the voting? Here’s my votes:
Sublime Key Lime Pie & Paleo Poppers
Michelle says
Next time you put on a recipe contest, please have the judges do the testing and not readers choice. Many of us are fans and worked hard to create recipes. Come to find out several paleo facebook pages are asking for readers to vote.
Chef Rick says
Hi Michelle, I have to concur even though I also started asking for help from high school, college and martial arts friends on FB and via my website once I saw how the votes were going…You would be silly not to once you see everyone trying to drive traffic to Robb’s site to vote for their stuff, so you are correct it became a marketing contest instead of a recipe contest.
I think you are absolutely spot on, to be perfectly fair a panel of judges should make the first cuts to the top 3 to 5 recipes in each category and then do their taste-testing from there…
In all fairness to Amber, Robb and staff this was the first one these holiday contests and nobody can forsee how these things are going to go!
Best regards Michelle and a Happy New Year,
Rick H.

I agree!
Erin says
I agree. Had same issues with voting. Boo.
pdxhollym says
It was so hard to choose, everything looks wonderfully delicious! Thank you and good luck!
Amy says
Hi. I still can’t see the radio buttons. Oh well. I would vote for the swedish meatballs. Too many food intolerances so I couldn’t make a lot of the recipes. Some that I did make weren’t really good because I had to make so many substitutions. But the swedish meatballs worked with elk burger! Mighty tasty!
Chef Rick says
BTW is voting closed now (2:30pm EST) because I can’t tell from my computer here, i.e. is this results screen the final tally of reader voting? Just curious guys… Thanks!
Linda says
