VER ESTA RECETA EN ESPANOL
Serves:
- The single guy 3 meals
- Feeds a Whole Family ( 4-6 individuals)
Great for left overs and chicken broth (from scraps)
INGREDIENTS:
3 Free-range hens
6 cloves of garlic (minced)
3 whole cloves of garlic
1 bunch of cilantro
Sea salt and crushed black pepper corns
6 tbs of organic butter (optional)
Olive Oil
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Rinse hens inside and out and pat dry. Season the hens, inside and out, with olive oil, garlic,sea salt and pepper.
Stuff hens with one clove of garlic,2tbs of butter and a generous amount of cilantro.
Place hens in a large roasting pan and set aside.
Stick in the oven uncovered at 375 degrees until thermometer hits 175 F (aprx.40- 1 hour) and hens tops have browned.
Let cool for 5-10 min.
VARIATIONS:
You can stuff your hens with other herbs like thyme and rosemary. Since it’s fall you can even stuff them with apples, pumpink or nuts. Be creative!
Serve with your favorite side dish.Best served with a fresh salad, chop some spinach, mustard leaves, cilantro, chives,lime /olive oil salt and pepper. BUON APPETITO!
