New Zealand is the third freest economy in the world

I hope you get to NZ. You might like it here. You might even discover that we have a more open free market economy than in the US. Just because we have a rather socialised head;lath care system doesn’t mean we have a closed economy. We actually battle import duties and limits sending protein to the US and have NO farm subsidies. Import duties here are pretty much gone since the 80’s (but that still doesn’t stop importers from gouging the public anyway).
Spring in Te Waipounamu can be pretty nice.

I am so happy someone finally confronted the issue of “paleo” convenience foods. It isn’t just about the food or diet…lifestyle is key. And until we confront the ever present, readily available food that requires no effort to prepare or think about, we will continue to perpetuate the unhealthy, fast-food culture we currently live in….even if it is a “paleo” version of that same culture.

I really enjoyed this podcast which I listened to in the gym today. Jamie had a sensible approach to Paleo and I appreciated the warnings of Paleo commercialisation. Currently I’m living in the Middle East so that hasn’t hit here yet so I count myself lucky. I also enjoyed it because I understood it, thanks Jamie and Robb for keeping it simple.
