Joseph Brasco, M.D.
Dr. Joseph Brasco is widely known for his published works in co-authoring five books with Jordan Rubin (noted author of “The Maker’s Diet”). These books are entitled The Great Physician’s Rx for… Healthy Heart, Colds & Flu, Diabetes, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Restoring Your Digestive Health.
Dr. Brasco is noted for his emphasis on diet and healthy eating as seen on CNN numerous times. His popularity has attracted new patients from all over the world (England, Australia, Canada, and more) to be consulted and treated at the Center for Colon & Digestive Disease.
Dr. Joseph Brasco is a native of Brooklyn, New York and has also resided in Jupiter, Florida – a small city in northern Palm Beach County; Chicago, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Brasco received his BS degree from Rutgers College in New Jersey. His MD degree was completed in 1986 at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Brasco completed his residency for Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His fellowship in Gastroenterology was also completed at the University of Illinois in 1991.
From April of 2002 to just recently, Dr. Brasco has been involved with private medical practice. From 2002 to 2004, he worked for Indianapolis Gastroenterology in Indianapolis, Indiana. From 1991 to 2002, Dr. Brasco was employed by Adult Care Specialists of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Dr. Brasco also served as the Vice President of Medical Affairs in Garden of Life, Florida the last half of 2004. Before joining The Center for Colon & Digestive Disease, Brasco worked once again in private practice for Medical Consultants in Muncie, Indiana.
Dr. Brasco holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a Society Member of both the Indiana State Medical Association and the Indianapolis Medical Society.
