Paleolithic Solution Seminar: Potomac CrossFit!

Thank you to everyone who came out last week and especially thank you to the folks at Potomac CrossFit for hosting this event. Folks came armed with a tone of questions and it was a fun day. The gluten-free beer that night certainly helped!

The book is finally DONE! It’s off to the printer and we are planning book signings, media events and a whole host of shenanigans to promote the book. I’ve historically tried to be “low sell” and just let my work ride on whatever value it brings to folks. Well…over the next several months I will be in “shameless self promotion mode”. I’m going to ask for help from all of you in various ways to help get the word out about the book. I can honestly say I am very proud of the finished product and it is better than I thought I could do. Not being cocky here, I’m honestly impressed with how it turned out, hopefully y’all are as well. We have some strategies for bumping the Paleo Solution up the standings when it is released and I’ll roll those ideas out pretty soon.

The new site will have a list of CSA’s and GF meat producers. You will be on that list!
      Thanks for the support.

Robb, it’s not cocky to be proud of your own work. You put your heart, sweat, inspiration, and creativity into the book. It was a labor of love. If done right, it should leave you glowing with pride. That is how I feel after my better works, too. Way to go dude! I have an order in place at Amazon and can’t wait to read it.

Btw, Robb, you haven’t mentioned the “supplement podcast” in your podcasts lately. What gives? Now that the book is off to the press, any chance you’ll delve back into completing the supplement podcast?

Andy has been peppering supplement questions here and there. Well see…

Robb – You do understand that when you bump up the P.S. that you are going to have to change some of your jokes around? Andy might be happy with that? I don’t think he’ll go for the joke of “for the 4 people who bought my book”

      August 6, 2010 at 5:39 pm

The worse the joke, the more it grates on Andy…the happier I am!

I’ll do my bit too and add to the shameless promotion in New Zealand!
Well done on finishing your book.
What goes around comes around – you have given us all so much, it’s the least we can do to give back.

Nothing better than being proud of yourself. Especially when you have put so much into achieving the end result. So promote yourself shamelessly!
We’re all proud of you too!

I love it when my kids say to me “Mum I feel really proud of myself – I think I’ve done a great job on my homework” As a mother it’s one of the best rewards when your kids say this!

I pre-ordered my Book from Amazon. If it is only half as good as the information you provide for free here, I will gladly give a five star rating.

Also, I have lost over 60 LBs by following the Paleo Diet. In fact August 17th is one year anniversary of eating paleo. Here some other results I noticed:

    1. Skin tags gone

    2. I can breathe thru my nose for the first time in my life.

    3. My head is regaining hair. My bald spot on the back of my head now has hair.

    4. My dyshidrotic eczema which was painful on my feet and hands has been reduced to one little toe. If I just could clear up that one toe, I be completely healed and Doctor told me there was no hope for curing dyshidrotic eczema and I would just have to learn to live with it.

    5. As a fifty year old guy it is kind of nice to wake up like I am a young man again. If you know, what I mean.

I believe the above would be part of a good review for your book at Amazon. What do you think?

Please let me know when you are in the South Jersey area, because I would love to have you sign my book and meet you. Also, I would love attend a Paleolithic Solution Seminar, if you ever do one in the Philadelphia Area.

Amazing stuff! We will likley be in N. Jersey on Sept 14 but those details are still being hammered out. Keep me posted on your progress.

Me too with the dyshidrotic eczema! That is something that started when I was a vegetarian. Following the Zone improved it – but never got rid of it. When I went paleo – it went. Although I do occasionally the tiniest barely noticed spot – I think when I get a virus or maybe a small food infraction – like milk protein.

The other thing that disappeared was a large ganglion cyst on my wrist. I’m still waiting to hear if anyone else has had this happen.

Robb – my mum 78 who has recently gone paleo the main change was going grain free, (she was already dairy free) told me yesterday her lungs – bronchiectasis (which she got many years ago post viral infection) with a lot of secretions is markedly improved, much less secretions.
