I Just got back from the CF 101 with glassman and I am shocked to say the least. He was asked to go into Crossfit AND Nutrition but glassman thought she said “crossfit nutrition” and meant the “latest ordeal” (glassmans term)so he decided to go into and the information he told us was so, so shocking.
1st I didnt know you wouldnt talk about where you had done medical research (something he says he has been ignoring and asking you for the past few (10) years.
2nd that you left years ago and came crawling back broke.
3rd how much money you really make.
4th how your wife has said horrible horrible things online about him and his family and told people they need to fly two flags one CF and one Not (because as he said) it will help you separate yourself.
5th about how you hate EVERYONE at CF and CFHQ.
6th how you never talked about the zone (although my notes from your cert, on the last page, is a complete break down of the zone.)
7th how he asked you time and time again to stop talking about paleo and you agreed but did it anyways.
8th how you have very little theoretical ideology and little to no clinical experience.
9th how your not busy
10th how he gave you a $30,000 client who couldnt last a week with you.
there is more…it went on for 40mins. No talk of castro. He talked about Everett and how he is a novice weight lifter who thinks that he is better than everyone else but isnt even good at what he does. How he realized that you two were starting coup to over throw them and steal the company. it was crazy. someone asked “what happens to people who already have the cert” glassman said “you got fucked.” he went on to talk about sears and all the wonderful things he was going to do for the company. how great the new cert is going to be…..and more….it was nuts…fraking nuts. I wish you hadnt lied to us.. (thats sarcastic). I definitely look at the guy with a new set of glasses. It was totally unprofessional, completely out of line, childish immature and rude. worst of all, im pretty sure most people believed it.
1-This is pretty funny, and libelous. It’s pretty easy to track this info down.
2-WE left becasue Greg Glassman LIED to me and I left in a protest, attempting to chang things. HE asked me to come back. My gym was thriving and was, int fact picked as one of Mens Health’s “Top 30 Gyms in America”. That happened when we were GONE from CrossFit. At least years Filfest he asked me to stand up and brag about how much money my gym made.
3-I make significantly more money than I did as a chemist! This is classic Glassman Straw-Man. He wished that we would fail when we left CF before, he wishes and will do about anything, including slander to ensure our failure now.
4-Yes, it’s obviously a bad idea to fly two flags when you can be kicked out at any minute for not toeing the party line. One day you own your gym and URL, the next you DO NOT. Horrible advice to offer.
5-??? This is just insanity! It’s so goofy I cant even formulate a commentary.
6-50% of every lecture was devoted to the Zone, they have VIDEO on their OWN site with me talkign about the Zone. Does he not watch the content on his own site?
7-Again…no way to coment on insanity. This makes no sense.
8-Ok. No theory and the last 7 years working with people is no experience? Hmm.
9-I’m…not BUSY? Glassman fantasizes about the peopel who leave FAILING. I love his reasoning here, truely a direct front row seat to his psyche.
10-Yep. the glasmans set me up with a high-end client whom I traveleed with for 3 months. I eventually got canned because I would not hand-hold the guy eating himself into a diabetic coma, and I had a gym in Chico to build. If yu have ever attended one of my gig’s you know my thoughts on non-compliant clients. 3 Months of doting on a Billionare trying to convince him to not eat himself to death.

If Tony wants to argue for a civilized discourse held in private, then perhaps he should make the point to his boss that he can’t talk shit in public. You can’t have it both ways…Robb stellar work. Well, if that’s true (which it’s not but let’s pretend) at least he can rely on his wife who was a national champ and former member of the US Olympic Team. She’s one of the few truly elite athletes associated with Crossfit (now formerly associated).

So Leo is basically saying that he considers himself a half-assed slacker, priceless.
After thoroughly researching the resources available from the organizers of the BBS, I would love to see those trainers organize their own fitness organization. While I know others have suggested this, we need to keep promoting it so this thing gains momentum. OPT is already off and running, Coach RUT is palnning more Intelligent Design Seminars, Robb will continue to do Nutrition, Gregg has his OLY gigs. If these ever get seriosly corroborated, their is some serious potential to compete and crush HQ from every angle: quality, design, results, humility, and honest, open discussions. Now I WOULD pay $1k to participate in a 2 day real certification with these guys, not the half assed cert HQ is putting on. They are obviously about the cash flow now and NOT about the quality of results or trainers they produce.
So I have a question. Now according to Glassman, we got fucked going to Robb’s cert (not how I feel at all). Glassman is discrediting Robb telling us he doesn’t have the knowledge or experience required to teach nutrition. Since Crossfit promoted and sold these certifications stating that Robb was “the man” and now they say he’s not, isn’t there some liability there? Couldn’t we sue Crossfit for selling us certification under false pretenses?

With all due respect to your judgement, and your absolute right to call the shots the way you see them . . . I’d suggest you not take the angle you took with Leo S. I can well imagine why you responded that way, given the recent posting history that Leo has made, but I don’t think you want to be in the position of even hinting at “censoring” (I know, you didn’t censor him . . . but the “you are not welcome here” is along that line).
The contrast between the freedom of discussion here and at the CF board is telling . . . obviously, each location is more likely to attact “converts” and even “zealots” of their respective sponsors . . . but one site can actually entertain challenges, and the other can’t. Please don’t let them become unhappy mirror images of each other.
I have never posted on this site… but I am a fan of yours, without ever having met you personally. I did the Zone for 1-1/2 years because it was the “recommended” diet by CF HQ. But when I switched over to Paleo, I have seen and felt more amazing results than ever with the Zone. Also, really, it’s sooo much simpler and easier to follow. But I just want to say that with all of this crazy bashing and childish behavior being tossed around regarding the drama between you and CF HQ, you have always maintained a sense of decorum and refused to play those same games. I appreciate that very much. You don’t need CF HQ’s endorsement to succeed! Their slanderous behavior will eventually get old and hopefully be ignored so that the true business of gaining better knowledge of nutrition and a healtheir way of living can become the number one priority. Damn you for being reasonable! That’s a tough one. i would not censor Leo but I have to admit I would not piss on him to put him out if he were on fire. He attacked me, my wife, Greg Everrett, Aimee…. I THINK to suck up to HQ. Now it looks like the tide is NOT rolling with CrosFit so Leo pops his head up for an opportunity at…what, making friends after he called me a liar? Just talking outloud here.
I guess I’m torn by a few feelings here. One, an intense dislike of Leo (after having considered him a friend, albiet distant one with whom I’d mainly conversed by email, but a friend none-the-less), a desire to defend myself and a desire to simply move on. I get what you are saying about shutting down dissent though…

I actually tried to point out the duality Mr. Leo likes to play with on his blog, but he felt it best to follow in the footsteps of his idol and censor his blog. So now at least I know Leo’s true colours he likes to pop his head up on your blog and call you a liar but doesn’t like people popping up on his blog and calling him…..hmmm I’m not really sure what I called him since its been deleted and no need to cross post here but it was fun while it lasted. He asked me to contact him directly to discuss my post which I did but he has since turtled.
Keep fighting Robb, Crossfit is awesome when your in an affiliate or doing it on your own but when run by HQ it starts to smell funny.

The ironic thing is that by criticizing Robb and Everett, Glassman has basically stated that Crossfit had people who knew absolutely nothing teaching and being paid money to teach Crossfit. You think Glassman might want to step away from Lugo’s wife and think about what the information he puts out says about him and Crossfit?
Robb I say for Leo to be able to post here he has to give an explanation for why he did not go to the games. He should understand that everybody makes mistakes, ala A-Rod or Jason Giambi when they admitted to steroids. Now it is a done deal and they have moved on in their careers. However Barry Bonds was basically shut out of baseball and still to this day denies his involvement with juice. Leo is a big time douche, but maybe he has an explanation.

You have made it perfectly clear how you feel about all of us. Your distaste and disapproval of what we do, how we coach, and what we believe in has been stated more than once in your posts around all the comments on the internet. I don’t understand why you feel the need to continue to express your feelings. We have all heard it, and we get it. If you are so irritated by everything we do and say, why don’t you just stay away from all of our websites and not continue to involve yourself in the “drama”? There is nothing more you can say that you haven’t already said regarding your feelings about this whole deal. So quit re-writing the same sentences over and over again. No matter what context you put it in, the message has come across loud and clear. You should definitely continue to do what you are passionate about, and we will definitely continue to do what we believe in. And I would like to thank you for continuing to attack Greg, Robb, Nicki and I to make you feel really empowered, and like one hell of a smart dude. It has made us all realize the person you truly are… someone none of has seen in our past meetings, and someone we definitely do not want to be further associated with. You should continue to post your feelings and responses, while trying to make everyone see how ignorant we all must be. It is an excellent way to get in good with HQ.
It’s easy to say “move on” when it’s not you being attacked. If I was you Robb I would respond to everything. I would not want that shit getting away with this. I do agree with you though about it probably being better to be “clinical” – you can rely on us for the sillier stuff. I know that I’m not going to shut up.

that’s why I titled that one post “Historical Revisionism”. Since there are tons of people coming in the front door the story can change and perhaps people might not notice.
It reminds me of the scene from 1984 when everyoen is at a rally. Right in the middle of the rally the “enemy” states and the “ally” states literally switch…the whoel political climate shifts during the middle of the rally. There is a collective intake of breath as everyone wonders if ANYONE will point out that friend has just become foe and vice versa…but then no one questions the switch, and the spin just keeps rolling.

What is amazing is that was from page 1. That is the first sentence of the book. Thanks for the video, great interview. I wonder why the IGx’ers haven’t picked up on this. BTW, after a aouple of years of just intense weight lifting (isolation and compound), I now do one day of that and one of crossfit styled workouts and I can surely say that’s it’s a whole other world of hurt — and I love it.
When people realise the best have left and their future might be compromised, they act with jaleousy and hate. Glassman’s actions are completly retarded. First, he is destroying crossfit by promoting non-sense and contradiction (best nutrition coach ever vs worst human being ever). Second, the second he stopped carring about making people’s life and their athletic performance better and started carring more about the money than anything else, he started to ruin crossfit reputation (think about all those bad affiliate and how they get accepted or how they promote the zone which is a sub-par diet for real athletes in my opinion.)
Robb has the merit of doing what he thinks is right for athletes. No matter how much money is involved, at least robb is trying to better us and himself.
And, this is something glassman cant argue about (because, robb has integrity where glassman is a child).
Robb, keep the good work and dont let them mess up with you.
You are better than that. and really, why would they hate so much if they didnt care about you not being part of CF anymore (they are just realising that they lost one of the biggest star player of the company).
