Awesome! I hope Lou breaks this record and tears it apart leaving the old record in the dust! I hope to read more about this come January.

Good luck Lou!

Hello Marshal:

Normally i do place my drums much closer together, for that particular TV demo the drum set had been out of the shipment box for about ten minutes prior to the interview. no adjustment time. with that said being a show drummer my sets will tend to be a bit more spaced out than a technical drummer would find comfortable as it allows for my exaggerated arm motions, leg lifts etc.

The song list will be critical but not as lethargic as you might think. i find mixing it up with up tempo songs actually uses different muscle combinations which results in a pseudo rest of sorts. It also keeps my adrenaline pumping. Certain songs put me into an auto pilot state as i have played them so many times.

The work outs are aiding my grip and stamina. I also believe my speed and power has increased. Most important of all it has built confidence that the impossible can be made possible thanks to the awesome support team at Nor Cal Strength & Conditioning

Marshal-
Lou's set list is getting wired in and will be very little movement as compared to the demo video.

Lou, That's awesome. Do you feel a difference in your drumming since you've been doing this style of training? Do you ever apply the exercise principals to drumming? Maybe tabata singles or tabata double stroke rolls? Also, your drums are kind of spaced out. I know it always feels better to play on your own personal setup but have you ever experimented with other setups that don't require as much reaching? I set up my drums to avoid extra movement to avoid having to reach out or twist too much. I feel like it saves some energy. It might be too late in the game to mess with that. Just a thought. Do you have a set list or some ideas for what song's you are going to play? Can't wait to see it. Good luck.
