If you keep JW around, none of the food is going to make it anywhere.

    Hey Robb,
Just got back some blood work I had done for my physical. I’ve been strict Paleo/ zone for approx 8 months and have been using about 9 fish oil capsules a day. My cholesterol was high(229), LDL high at 120(?), also HDL was in the 60’s and triglycerides were 39. Should there be any concern, I realize that the LDL’s were calculated and not actually measured, so there is no way to know if they were large or small particle LDL’s. Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Scott Pauly

Way to go Robb! Another project? Are you getting your 9 hours of sleep young man?

Can’t wait for the product. Do you need an East Coast sales rep?

    Scott-
Like you said it’s tough to know what’s happening given the lack of LDL particle size. That said, your triglycerides are awesome and thus your systemic inflammation is likely quite low. Read Uffe Ravanskov’s book “The cholesterol Myths” for more info.

    Steve!!
Paleobrands is focussed mainly on whole meals so I do not see much conflict there. They are producing some snack cookies but they will be donating money to PaleoKits/Steve’s Club. You will still have a unique product AND you will get support from Paleobrands. I’ll introduce you and Joe after this weekends Nutrition cert.

I can not wait. This is going to be the one two punch. Paleo kit and Paleo Brand foods.

Now, I have to start planning floor space in the box for a walk in freezer/fridge to store our stuff. :)

Whole meals, okay. But will they be whole foods, or just highly processed Frankenfoods? I’ve gotta see this.

    Jim-
Whole meals. Salmon, organic broccoli…stuff like that There WILL be a few snack items but it it not the focus of the line. This is why the only “meal replacement” I’ve gotten behind thus far has been paleo kits.

All the nutritional comments on crossfit football refer to the benefits of cow’s milk, yet i have never read Dr. Cordain condone the consumption of cow’s milk. Actually, he sites the negative effects of milk. I’m surprised that paleobrands have CF Football and Dr. Cordain teamed up…is it for balance of opinions?

No, it’s because in real life there are trade offs and not absolutes! If you want to get big and strong paleo + dairy works amazingly well. That approach is healthier than anything Ive seen UT it does not meana it is the MOST healthy way to eat in general.

    Make sense?
